This variety prevents the increase in obesity and the amount of insulin of blood sugar. This variety is going to be very beneficial for our body. Wheat is a major crop of the Rabi season. Along with this, it is a very nutritional meal as a food. Majority of people consume it as part of their diet. Majority of people eat chapatis made up of wheat flour. Farmers can also earn good profit by producing wheat crops. Along with this, situated in Ludhiana, the Plant Breeding Genetics Department of the Punjab Agricultural University has created a new variety of wheat, which prevents the increase in obesity and amount of insulin level in blood sugar. For the same reason, this variety will be proven as very beneficial for health. This rabi season, the seeds of this variety will be provided for cultivation. Along with this training will also be provided for the cultivation of these seeds.

How much time does it takes to PBW RS1 variety of wheat to get prepared 

Generally you would have seen that the patients suffering from obesity are advised not to consume wheat. But recently, after doing a research of 8 to 10 years, the agricultural scientists of the Plant Breeding Genetics Department of the Punjab Agricultural University have prepared the PBW RS1 variety, and doctors will also not stop you from consuming that. Because this new variety of wheat is helpful in controlling obesity.

What are the benefits of PBW RS1 wheat 

This new variety of wheat developed by agricultural scientists has multiple benefits which are beneficial for our health. Regular consumption of this wheat can prevent us from problems like obesity and diabetes. Nutraceutical values in this variety of wheat are adequate. It also contains resistance starch.

This newly developed variety of wheat will be available in market after the month of April, 2024

Seeds of this variety are very good for patients suffering from diabetes. It will digest easily just like fibres. This wheat will be available in the market after April, 2024. However, the crops of these seeds will be less but it will have high prices in the market. 

A grand two-day farmers and animal husbandry fair was organised at Punjab Agricultural University. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reached here and gave awards to the people who promoted the agriculture sector.

During this, Chief Minister Mann stated that PAU, which is the pride of Punjab agriculture and dear to the hearts of Punjabis, has provided guidance to the farm sector. Farmers attended the exhibition to learn about a variety of innovative technology.

CM Bhagwant Mann stated at the time that when I arrived, I was pleased to observe on the canal route that Punjabi youngsters were clutching sacks of seeds and heading out to farm. He stated that farming practices have altered. Agriculture has progressed thanks to scientific advances. There are now several irrigation techniques in the fields, rather than just one.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann says Punjab is the largest producer of Basmati rice in India.

CM Bhagwant Mann stated during the programme that the Punjab government has pushed farmers to grow Basmati rice. Punjab is India's leading producer of basmati. We learned about the Basmati standards used elsewhere. Pesticides that have been prohibited for Basmati in other countries. Ten of these sprays were prohibited by our government. So Basmati is bought as much as possible.

The bugle of agricultural fair has been rung at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University from 17th to 19th October. The three-day All India Farmers Fair will be organized as Krishi Kumbh. In the fair, every problem of the farmers will be solved and new information will be provided. The main attraction center of the fair will be the animal exhibition. All preparations for the agricultural fair to be held on 17, 18 and 19 October have been completed. Animal exhibition is the main attraction. The Vice Chancellor of the University says that every possible effort will be made to make the fair memorable. Animal exhibition will be the main attraction in the fair. Farmers from many states including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan will reach the exhibition with their animals.

Experts will give information to farmers

Farmer seminars will be organized every day in the fair, in which agricultural scientists will give information about new research to the farmers. Agricultural experts will give information about crop diseases and their treatment. Farmers will be told how to manage crops in adverse weather so that production is not affected. You will be happy to know that All India Farmers Fair and Agro Industry Exhibition will be organized in the main campus of the University from 17-19 October 2023.

Main attraction and place of the fair

Many programs will be organized in the fair, animal exhibition, live demonstration of drones, cultural programs for entertainment, fair closing and prize distribution ceremony, agricultural industry exhibition, cultural programs for entertainment etc. All India Farmers Fair and Agro Industry Exhibition will be organized in the main campus of the university. Which is situated in Sivaya Modipuram on Delhi-Dehradun National Highway No. 58, about 56 km from Delhi and about 10 km from Meerut city.

A three-day program has been started from October 17 at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Agricultural University. All science centres and many companies related to the Agricultural University have set up their stalls in this Kisan Mela. The program will run from October 17 to October 19.

On the first day of October 17, the program was inaugurated by His Excellency Governor Anandiben Patel by cutting the ribbon at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Agricultural University. During the program, all the science centres and various companies related to the Agricultural University set up their stalls.

The All India Kisan Mela and Agro Industry Exhibition was inaugurated and visited by Her Excellency Governor Madam Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji during the fair at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology in Meerut today. Also, 19th Asian Games medal winners daughters Parul Chaudhary and Kiran Balyan were also honoured. On this occasion of the fair, Minister of State for Agriculture in the Government of Uttar Pradesh Shri Baldev Singh Aulakh Ji, Vice Chancellor of @svpuat Dr. KK Singh Ji, Chairman of Agricultural Scientists Selection Board Committee Dr. Sanjay Singh Ji, Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh University Smt. Sangeeta Shukla Ji, senior scientists, farmers and students were present.

First Agricultural University of India

According to many reports, India's first agricultural university is Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. It is also called "Pantnagar University'' and "Pant University". It was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India on 17 November 1960. It was then called Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University. In the year 1972, this University of Agriculture and Technology was given the name of great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. The university is located in Pantnagar town of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. In India, this university is considered the precursor to the Green Revolution.
